Covers and postcards sent to my address from different countries of the world.

Swaziland (2014) Trees of Swaziland

Another great help from Florian, collector from Austria. Perfect cover using 4 stamps (out of series of 13 stamps) commemorating native tree species: Pappea capensis (Sapindaceae), Erythrina latissima (Fabaceae), Bequaertiodendron megalismontanum (Sapotaceae) and Ficus sur (Moraceae) means new country for my collection, country/territory #250 :). Thank you very much for your help!

Congo DR (2014) President Joseph Kabila

Deo Niyongeso, kind guy from Burundi, has travelled to city of Uvira in the Democratic Republic of Congo to help collectors to get cover from this (from the philatelic point of view) very rare country. He does a great job as usually, beautifully cancelled cover with stamps depicting the Congolese president Joseph Kabila.

Bulgaria (2014) Rila Monastery

Cover sent by myself from my trip to Bulgaria. The Rila Monastery (in whole The Monastery of Saint Ivan of Rila; Рилски манастир) is extraordinary, calm and beautiful place, definitively worth the visit. Besides a lot of cultural and spiritual experience, you can find small post office there as well ;).

The postmark on received cover is very faint, but it still can reads “Рил. манастир – 2 – Ril. Manastir – 2643”

Brazil (2014) Fernando de Noronha

Miloš, cover collector from Slovakia, has prepared wonderful surprise for me: cover from the Brazilian island in the Atlantic Ocean, the island of Fernando de Noronha. It is in fact an Archipelago of 21 tropical islands in the Atlantic Ocean 545 km offshore from the Brazilian coast. The island is inscribed to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list.

Norway (2014) Jan Mayen

It was pretty hard to get this cover. This attempt was my third trial, as previous covers addressed to Postmaster of the Jan Mayen island returned back to me as undelivered. Workers of the Philatelic bureau in Oslo wrote me in email that the Post Office on the Jan Mayen island is closed. Apparently, it was just misunderstanding and I have finally received this beautifully cancelled cover back to me :).

Jan Mayen is volcanic island in the European Arctics belonging to Norway. It forms administrative unit together with the Svalbard. It is very sparsely populated, only inhabitants are either military or scientific stuff. Despite its isolation there is a post office on Jan Mayen, which has its own pictorial postmark.

Falkland Islands (2014) Referendum

Karl Weiland, the OM member of CCCC sent me this wonderful cover commemorating the Falkland Islands sovereignty referendum. Citizens of the Falkland Islands voted in a referendum on political status of the territory on 10–11 March 2013. Falkland Islanders were asked whether or not they supported the continuation of their status as an British Overseas Territory of the United Kingdom in view of Argentina call for negotiations on the Falkland Islands sovereignty dispute. They voted to remain a British Territory.

Russia (2014) Tatarstan

Kazan is the capital of the Tatarstan, a republic within the Russian Federation. This cover was kindly sent by Oleg Archipov, a member of the LCC. He used the definitive stamp depicting the Kazan Castle, which makes the cover perfect!

Hi, my name is Radim, born in a year of Dragon, interested in Botany and loving flags on stamps :). I am collecting nice covers and postcards thaít are addressed to me. And because I love travelling and it is impossible to see all the nice places of the world, I therefore wish to receive covers or/and postcards from as many countries as possible. Just to "touch" the distant places virtually :-).
I will deeply appreciate if you can help me with cover from any of worldwide country. I miss 10(11) countries (+ 2-3 distinct territories) in my collection, but I will appreciate any nice cover from any country sent to my address :)
